I can see it on you, I can smell it on you. Walking around with your tail between your legs. not seeking help hiding from the light of day. That’s shame. Tucked in before 8 awake at 4 nap at noon bar at 2, the cycle continues. What happened? Are you bold enough to tell the truth. Seems like you’re still playing victim waltzing around the issue. No one is coming to save you, they never cared. Believe me if they could they wouldn’t you’re a big boy, all they do is laugh. Count your blessing that you have a roof over your head and scheduled meals, you can leave the building whenever you want.
All the smoke you trail in doesn’t mean jack except it gives me a reason to show up for a nice laugh. not all days are bad but most days are slow. remember when we used to pray for time like this for responsibilities so low. Kickback to relax with nothing but the clock telling us which way is too high or too late to go home. I’m tired of the shit you pull, the anguish, the suffering, the mopping about over soiled milk. I will say you make it look fun and I bet you were that guy. You had the coolest car, the loudest bike, the beautiful girl, the evil wife, the ungrateful kids, the complacent father, overprotective mother, the terrible siblings, the taxing job, the fixer-up you polished just right.
Why did this have to happen to you, a tax paying citizen. You crossed your “t’s” and dotted your “i’s”, everything was going to plan. Except you needed a break, hell you were begging for one for years. A place where no one will come knocking unless it was necessary but also didn’t need the help from you. Where you could be waited on hand and foot, like you did for all of your clients. For once you could just be a boy. You’re upset they took away your toys and left only your voice. You can’t pick and chose what does or doesn’t happen to you but you can chose to enjoy the changes within your new timeline.
Who knows maybe you beat death, that ambulance ride was your saving grace. If you would’ve stayed an extra day your heart would’ve exploded while you were home alone, she would’ve heard you passed through a landline on the work phone.
